The series that I intend to do will not be about beauty. It will be about trying to accept that we all have a different body. And, about try to not be ashamed about it. The reason I started with the self portraits, by the way: Kill the shame. It stays hard... :-))
Every person has beauty, in a way. If we try to look at that instead of compare to what we see on publicity, and so on, we could all be happy about that. Instead of spend our precious time in shame. The imposed theme of our final school works is: Diversity. So, that suits me perfectly! I will try to build my works around this. Try. And these are experiments, to find a nice way to do that.
Yes, indeed it is exactly that. It's rough trip sometimes, and that shows. But at least, I am not trying to sell you anything! Or, nothing that will cost you money anyway. :-)) Thank you very much, Moncat! You are so kind. Big warm XXX!
Thank you very much, r. It sure takes courage. But, we are all unique, and that in itself has beauty in it! Even when we don't look very average, or even when we are far off from average. It doesn't matter. There is always beauty to be found. XXX
