My reproduction as it was.
I like this one the most.

We made some where the composition was better. The pose of the model more the same. But, I had to use the flash because it was too dark weather, and the other photos showed the shadows. I didn't see it on my camera, thought it was good.
My camera angle is too low. I didn't notice... :-///
But, the teacher liked the photo anyway. So, I'm happy!
My model did a great job, she looks almost exactly the same as Dmitri Kuklin's model. I was so amazed when I first saw his photo.

strange. i question my response, nadja, what it means. my response, without thinking, was oh, this is real art.

i think this is important, what you are doing, this investigation. it causes one to ask what art is.

Yes, the idea behind making technical reproductions is that we learn to analyse a photo, technically.
So that we can understand how it's made.
This is not always as obvious as one would think.
And of course, it will show you what it is about a photo that makes it more than just another photo, too.
Or at least, it will make you wonder about it.
What I love about the works of Dmitri Kuklin is that he always works with ordinary people.
His blog is full of great portraits of people of all kinds.
Thank you very much, Erin!

That is, his website.
It's not a blog.
I added a link under his photo.
It's worth a visit, for sure.

You're welcome, Erin.
Glad it helped!
Chrome is little annoying at first.
But, it's really cool actually.
For example, you can translate pages just by right clicking.
Things like that, I really like it.

:-))
I thought it was so bad.
I almost did not dare to show it to the teacher.
My camera angle is wrong, again.
Same mistake as with the Man Ray!
My composition is not good.
But, the teacher really liked it, too.
The light at my attic was exactly the same as with the Dmitri Kuklin photo!
Thank you very much, Dámaso!
Big warm XXX!
