This will be the prints for the school- exhibition. Two pieces. They are not printed yet. That will be another challenge, on 60- 40 cm. ... This is what I worked for the last three months. I made more than 1500 photos of 8 different models. Myself included. The models all did fantastic jobs! They were new in posing. And I was new in photographing models. We did good. I am happy. A big thanks to all the models. Thank you so very much, beauties!
Oh! The imposed theme for the works was 'diversity'. My point with these photos of different women: We are all unique, and I think we should focus more on the beauty of that. On the beauty we all have, in our own way. Rather than feeling bad because of the ridiculous ideals of the media these days. And I think these women, one by one, are a perfect example of that. By posing for my photos, they show they are selfconfident and accept their bodies, unique as they are. And I hope I could show them all, even more, with my photos, how beautiful they are.
It was really so much fun at the photo- shoots every time. That convinced me to keep photographing people. Something I was very scared of, not so long ago. I was very nervous at some of the photo-shoots, too. Sorry dear models!
Thanks to you I start to learn to deal with that. You gave me the chance to get some experience. You all helped me to relax! And you even helped me, to make no photographic mistakes, sometimes! :-))) Thank you very much for that!
Models are from top left to right: Linda, A., Sandra, Sara. Bottom from left to right: Nadja, Katrien, Sofie, Sarah.
Yes, indeed Paco. I think I learned a lot with this series. Both about photographing in general, and about working with models. And that's the most important thing. ... After having all the fun! We laughed so much. We had good talks. I hope to do more photos with these women later. We already agreed.
Yes, Rubens understood that the light loves a fuller woman more than the skinny ones we always see in the media today. In his days, people would think they are all very sick. And too poor to by enough food! :-)) The copmosition: I was working on that a long time. I didn't like it. But suddenly I moved a couple of photos, and it all fell in place. And suddenly I really loved it. They are all my favorite photos of all the models. Thank you very much, Dámaso! XXX
I'm glad to say, most people were really very positive about this work. The teachers, many visitors from the exhibition that didn't know me. Still, in one small group of students, photographers(!), there was a whole group that thought this was too much. There are a couple of 'visible' labia on the photos... It scared the hell out of me to realize how many people are still so... small minded. That was shocking to me! :-)) Thank you, Unbearable Lightness, I think it's great that you keep writing about these things. And then in your country... Respect! XXX

These are classic nudes. What have we come to when anyone sees such beautiful work as SHOCKING?
