Impossible to keep that pose for longer than a second. But, my camera angle. ... I had control over that, still, I didn't realize how wrong it was. I will have to do a new attempt.

Yes. I have a wireless shutter release. And than I use the maximum time on my camera, 10 seconds. But that's still not enough for this hand pose. ! How she bends her arm and her hand, that's just impossible for me. Especially together with the direction the head is turned. You should try it... Be sure someone is in the neighbourhood for when you cramp up! :-)) I think you can see on her face she wasn't exactly comfortable either. I don't think my flah could follow 3 shots. We are in Belgium here. And even for us it's very dark weather the last months. Terrible. Had to use the flash. Another problem, I can't use the wireless shutter release with the external flash. I had to use the flash on camera and bounce it on the wall. Damned... I thought I found the solution for my self portraits. ... teacher says I have to buy a decent, read expencive one. ... That will work. Maybe not on my cheap camera though! :-))

I think the picture is good, does not seem relevant body posture, I think the effort must come from the light. In the portrait of Man Ray is a very nice light and dark shadows but in your picture do not have the same force. Try to solve regardless of flash lighting. Nadja Certainly I can write in French? Yes, Dámaso, you are absolutely right about the light! The direction of the light is good, I think, but not the force. I need a sunny day, but we don't have those lately. I am limited with photos that I can copy. It's too dark for everything. And I don't have studio lights.

That is of course why we get this assignments. When you look at a photo you think you understand how it's done. But, it's not always so obvious.

How about setting the timer for more tim? Or program ur camera for 3 or 5 or more consecutive shots?
