Six artists are making statues in the city park, open air live art, really cool to see! They will work on the statues until October. So, if you are from around here, you still have time to go watch the works in progress. I plan to go back every few weeks or so to photograph the progress of the works. Practise my reportage photography a bit, it's needed... I tend to keep making portraits instead of reportage photos. The concept for the 6 statues comes from this Flemish artist, Jef van Leeuw. Each work will have something to do with the history of Turnhout. And they will be placed on 5 ancient roads who run in a star shape from out the town centre, each at 500 meters from the town centre. And one in the centre, at the market place.
