A couple of test- photos that I made on my attic.
Combined with a couple of photos I made from behind the wet window of a riding bus.

Happy New Year!

Oh, if you like the photos of the sculptors in the city park, whom I photographed whole summer and fall, you can see my selection here in bigger size:

Happy New Year to you. May all your dreams and aspirations come true in the new year.

I like this. I like the colors and the double image. It all works well together.

I watched an almost two hour video about photoshop by John Paul Caponigro last night and he touched learning to really see color. Also on the use and blending of color in the process part. It was also about being creative and changing your photography thought process too. Too much to process at one time; I will have to go back and look at it again.

In your sculpture series I love the image 121. What a great smiling portrait.

The lessons about colour in the colour- photography lessons were the most interesting ones of the whole three years.
Colour- contrasts, psychology of colour, the way we can see colour, and so on.
It was my favorite module.
Even when we had very much and very hard lessons about (analogue) colour development!
But even that was cool, when I started to understand it... and that was only just before the exam!
:-)))

And the Photoshop... I sweated a lot before I got a bit comfortable with that too!
I was wondering about that, D.L., are you a photographer, too?

Yes, the photo with the smile, it's the sculptor that came with the idea for this project in the park, Jef Van Leeuw.
As you could see, sculptor and statue look very much alike!
Hence this photo. :-))
Of course, this is no longer documentary photography, it's a posed one.

Thank you very much, D.L. Wood!
Best wishes for you and your family!

Though I own several cameras - I take pictures - I'm a long way from being a photographer.

This is the link to youtube and that talk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxX4eG7aBAA

If you are a photographer in your heart, that's what counts for me!
Sometimes I enjoy photos of people who don't have much technical skills very much.
Or even photos made by a little phone, as it goes these days.
People expressing themselves, show what they 'see' and find beautiful or interesting, that's what's important to me!
Maybe you should share some of your work, D.L..
After all... isn't that what photographs are for?
They are pretty much useless hidden on some hard drive, isn't it?
:-))
I'll have a look at your link.
I hope you have a pleasant day, and a good start for the new year, D.L.!

Goed nieuwjaar! Beetje laat maar toch ....... wanneer is je studie klaar?

Nadja said...

Beter laat dan nooit, he.
We zullen zien....
Ik ben op dit moment ziek... een griep denk ik, misschien ben ik nu beter als de module begint...
Tot hoors, Luc!
Maak er wat van in 2013 he!
