Well, when I work on my attic with my models I try to do different things with the background, furniture, some props. I use fabrics to create a different mood and so on. Here, in the villa, I work with the rooms as they are. And with my models, whom are no actual models of course, I always want it to be a 'collaboration'. I always tell them that if they have ideas about poses, or anything, they just have to do it. And then I go from there with giving them a bit of directions. Like, turning the face a bit more to the light or so, stretch a leg, or whatever, you know. Sometimes I do a couple of quick poses to inspire them, too. As, maybe you could do something like this on this spot or something. Usually, the ladies have great ideas enough. Some of my best photos are the ones with poses that the ladies came up with! I learned this quickly, let them go, see what will happen. After all, I want the ladies to be themselves on the photos! Maybe in a way they themselves haven't seen yet, but, still themselves. If I wanted to fake things, I could use more experienced models and stage it all, you know. And, to finally come to the point: ... :-)) This was the first set of photos I made that afternoon. Nancy and Inge were in a great and playful mood immediatly! They started havind a good time, even when I was still checking out the light and camera settings. So... I didn't have to say much, just push the shutter release button! :-)) They are great ladies, it was a lot of fun! Sorry that I write you a whole book as answer to a simple question, Michael. But I am very passionated about working with my ladies. And this, for me, is one of the most important things about it. Thanks for bringing it up! :-)) XXX
