I love the stockings, they are antiques, looking at the box I would think at least the 50's, maybe even older. Too bad you need legs for it... Haha... Having cold sweat here...! Maybe the photo will still be on the blog in an hour... maybe... :-))
No need for a cold sweat - those thigh high stockings are pretty hot on those "old girl" legs. They are a great contrast between the black camisole and black shoes.
The toes pointed in pose gives it a bit of pensive girl look which I like: with the dip of the shoulder, hand on the hip and chair only adding to that feel. Even the cut off face adds a bit of mystery.
The wrap around lighting with no harsh shadows works well here. There is good separation from the wall. I like the small catch light on the front of the chair. It and the light on the right side of the back of the chair give it good depth and dimension.
My only dislike...oh come on after all that candy you can take a bit of sour...it is the chair back intruding into the angle of the wall. Petty I know. But if you and the chair were just a bit to the left so the angle was clean - my applause would be much louder. lol
Ah, no, no, no, D.L! Before I thank you for all the wonderful praise... I love it that the chair breaks the line of the chimney! I do that on purpose. I have some where the chair stands more to the left, too, but that's not so cool! I chose to work with the corner- line deliberately, too. I love to play with the lines like that. It creates depth as well.
I really LOVE the rest of your comment of course... :-))) I didn't have much choice with the lighting set up. I have to use the external flash on camera for the self portraits. I can't use the wireless shutter release and the wireless flash release at the same time. Thank you very much, D.L. Wood! XXX
